We Are Ogboni
The Priesthood of the Earth

Welcome to Ogboni USA
We are the authorized body of the Aborigine Ogboni Worldwide—the oldest and most recognized institution of the Ogboni tradition, an unbroken lineage and tradition stretching back to precolonial West Africa.  Our specific jurisdiction encompasses the United States of America and its territories.

Ogboni means "Keepers of Wisdom." We are an ancient ancestral order of priests and priestesses dedicated to Ilẹ̀, Mother Earth. Bound by sacred oath, we uphold truth, maintain justice, and preserve the moral order of our communities as custodians of ancestral law and Earth-centered wisdom.

For generations beyond counting, Ogboni has stood as a pillar of spiritual integrity and communal harmony. Our order honors the primordial bond between humanity and the Earth—recognizing Ilẹ̀ not merely as the ground beneath our feet, but as sacred witness, sustainer, and mother of all life. Our mission in the United States, as given by Onílè (Mother Earth) herself, is to **Unite, Heal, and Build.

Our Mission, Vision, & Purpose
